Dress for success? So very Eighties. I'd rather dress to surprise, to shock, to cause the opposition to think really hard about where I got the briefcase and how good I must be to be able to afford the sweater. The judge? What's he going to say?

I believe in joy, compassion, and great shoes. I love fiction, fantasy, and impractical undergarments. I believe in the possibility of political honor, integrity and common sense - even in the face of evidence to the contrary. I believe that technology offers many solutions, but little truth. I believe even the most mundane object has beauty if seen from the right perspective. I believe in commitment even when it's hard, and the importance of relationships even when they require sacrifice or struggle. I believe life is supposed to be fun, even when it's difficult. I believe in spell-checkers and proof-readers and the need for friends to look over your shoulder and tells you when you're full of it. Most of all, I believe in art. My sets are art, not autobiography and should be interpreted accordingly.
